Escape the chilly weather and dive into eight interactive exhibits that'll have your kids (and you!) completely captivated for hours. From commanding a full-scale shrimp boat to exploring specially designed spaces for the littlest learners, every corner sparks creativity and curiosity. It's the ultimate indoor adventure for families looking to make this winter season unforgettable.

This 80,000 square foot Museum opened in August 2003 with main galleries featuring contemporary Western American art. Other galleries feature Civil War art, Presidential portraits and letters, Western movie posters, and Western illustration. Sagebrush Ranch is an interactive gallery where children of all ages can learn about art and Western America. The Museum’s Special Exhibit Gallery hosts three to five temporary exhibits per year.<br> The Museum Store offers books on art and the West, as well as prints and other items featuring Western American art images. The Café offers light lunches to guests and members visiting the Museum. A multimedia theatre, with seating for 60, shows the orientation film “The American West” every 20 minutes.

What started in 2002 when Jeff and Susan Lane decided to open their doors evolved into a public showcase by fall 2003, drawing visitors through its halls even on the coldest winter afternoons. Jeff's fascination with cars traces back decades—his hands-first experience rebuilding a 1955 MG TF as a young enthusiast became the spark that ignited everything you see here today. His ongoing hunt for vehicles that push boundaries or represent pivotal moments in automotive design keeps the collection fresh and thought-provoking. The whole operation runs as a nonprofit, dedicated to the idea that future generations deserve to understand where automotive ingenuity came from. Every car on display tells a story about engineering, ambition, or sheer mechanical brilliance that refuses to fade away.

The Mütter Museum was founded to educate future doctors about anatomy and human medical anomalies. Today, it serves as a valuable resource for educating and enlightening the public about our medical past and telling important stories about what it means to be human. The Mütter Museum embodies The College of Physicians of Philadelphia 's mission to advance the cause of health, and uphold the ideals and heritage of medicine.

Home for the Museum since 1916, the Griswold House is a National Historic Landmark and an Official Project of Save America’s Treasures. Designed in 1862 by famed architect Richard Morris Hunt, it was completed in 1864 for John N.A. Griswold, a China Trade merchant and financier. Griswold House was Hunt’s first major commission in Newport and is the premier example of American Stick Style architecture. Hunt went on to design many of the grand cottages of Newport’s Gilded Age, including The Breakers, Marble House, and Ochre Court.<br> The Griswold House currently houses restored rooms, galleries, a children’s art classroom, administrative offices, a lecture hall, and the Griffon Shop. The surrounding park and sculpture garden is used for many outdoor programs during the summer months.

Pacific Asia Museum is one of only four institutions in the United States dedicated exclusively to the arts and culture of Asia and the Pacific Islands. The museum’s mission is to further cultural awareness and understanding through the arts.

The only museum in the state of Hawaii devoted exclusively to contemporary art. TCM provides an accessible forum for provocative, dynamic forms of visual art, offering interaction with art and artists in a unique Island environment. TCM presents its innovative exhibition and educational programs at two venues: in residential Honolulu at the historic Cooke-Spalding house, and downtown at First Hawaiian Center.

Winter visitors find themselves in a hushed, contemplative space where the University of Oregon's collection comes alive across thoughtfully arranged galleries. The museum exists to deepen how locals and travelers understand the natural world around them, with particular attention to Oregon's unique ecosystems and the cultures that have shaped this region. Spanning anthropological artifacts to geological specimens, the exhibits connect you to both immediate surroundings and distant corners of the globe—the kind of place where a rainy afternoon becomes an unexpected adventure through time and discovery.

The Imaginarium, Alaska's only hands-on Science Discovery Center, is designed as a place where people can have fun learning about science by actually doing science. <br> Located in downtown Anchorage, The Imaginarium resembles a living laboratory, where you can stand inside a bubble, ponder the magnitude of the universe in a planetarium, discover ocean life in a marine touch tank, observe and touch exotic reptiles, or learn the principles of physics while playing with specialized toys.

The Center has 12,000 square feet of exhibition area. Fossils and life forms from earliest geologic time periods are displayed in a chronological perspective. There are over 200 displays throughout the museum. The central hall houses dozens of full-size mounted skeletons, including over 20 dinosaurs.

A nonprofit organization founded to promote and support art and craft excellence in Kentucky. In 2006, KMAC celebrated 25 years of supporting artists and providing educational programs to school children and adults. The Museum is supported in part by the Fund for the Arts and Kentucky Arts Council, a state agency of the Commerce Cabinet.

Four floors of over forty galleries of art are rotated regularly with works from antiquity to the present in the Museum's far-reaching Collection. Included in the Collection are 15th- to 20th-century European and 17th- to 20th-century American paintings, sculpture, prints, drawings, decorative arts, photographs, and folk and self-taught art. Among the best in the nation are the Museum’s holding of American decorative arts, German Expressionism, folk and Haitian art, and American art after 1960. These last few months following Hurricane Katrina’s impact on New Orleans and the Gulf Coast have left us all ready to enjoy the normal and healthy activities of playing with our children. At the Louisiana Children's Museum, we suffered wind damage, roof damage and water intrusion throughout the building. Our staff has shrunk from 40 to 4, and we are desperately trying to rebuild, repair and get ready for company again. The museum is dedicated to preserving our rich agricultural history and rural heritage. The collections and exhibits depict technology, crops, and livestock. In addition the exhibits examine human experiences, institutions, and cultures that were shaped by the state's rural landscape and diverse environment.<br> Located on the campus of South Dakota State University at the corner of Medary Avenue and 11th Street the museum is open and free to the public.

The North Dakota Museum of Art collects contemporary, international art in all media starting with the early 1970s (the founding of the Museum) onwards. It collects the visual history of the region. It is also assembling a survey collection of contemporary Native American art, starting with the early 1970s when the movement emerged. This does not preclude the acceptance of collections that are outside this focus if they would enrich the visual life of our audience, i.e. a historical textile collection.
